English!

Today I decided to continue this webpage in English. I hope this makes me look up many new words, keeping some of them in mind... I you can't understand what I am writing you can always translate the page with Google! Let's see... hahaha, hilarious!

Dragon Boats

Nicole asked me last week if I would be interested to try out dragon boat. There are some dragon boats in False Creek and every Saturday teams train on them. In the summer there'll be a race with about 170 boats participating. More than 20 people fit in each boat and you have to row like crazy. But it's quite fast, I didn't expect that. Unfortunately I couldn't take photos, since I didn't take the camera with me. I had a serious muscle ache in my back the following day...

Summer... almost

It's unbelievable how nice the weather is... Trees are blooming and growing leaves, the gass is green. People are running around in shorts. And I feel like on a vacation - every March I see blooming rhododendrons! That must be more or less exactly one year ago that we've seen the ones in Nepal.
I've given up skiing for this season. The local mountains are closed now. Whistler is still open but I'd for sure ruin my skis. Also, I am really busy at the time. I have to prepare a talk which I'll give shortly after I come back from LA and the finals are coming closer and closer. I can't wait for the summer semester - no classes, no homework, no exams! And hopefully lots of sunshine and outdoor-weekends.
I hope I'll have internet in LA to update the site - in fact I don't know how I could survive a whole week without internet.
Enjoy the pics... I'll enjoy the (always too short) night!
