Beautiful BC...

I got it back my little bike... repaired with a used part, it was "only" $55! Lucky... Well shortly after I got it back the fork started leaking and I just rebuilt it with new seals. Let's hope that was the last repair this year!

I went up to Grouse Mountain with the bike. A lot of tourists up there... but they are all watching the the lumberjack show and other stupid things. I took a couple of photos and went down again. It was boiling hot - all of a sudden it stopped raining last week and we're having sunshine without a single cloud.

Upper Oilcan U-Turn
I can get all the way around there - but for whatever reason I never made it past the U-Turn.
Maybe I always think that 2m is too deep to fall...

What did people do before VoIP and video chatting was invented? Can't imagine that...

GPS Altitude Chart

Besides talking for hours almost every day to and doing a lot of sports I started programming a nice little application. I never liked the way the Garmin software for the GPS displays the elevation plot for a tracklog. There was no way to print or save it (except a screenshot). So I wrote my own application doing exactly this. I called it GPS Altitude Chart and you can find it in a special section here on this website.

Garibaldi Lake

On Sunday I did a great hike to Garibaldi Lake. Starting at an altitude of about 1300 m everything was still covered by about 1 m of snow. That didn't make the climb easier and it was quite far, too (>22 km). But it was well worth the effort and pictures show more than 1000 words:
